He is survived by: his wife Claudia Houska (Thompson); his daughters, Julie Meisenhelder and Wendy Hayes (Lon); his grandchildren, Brian, Robert, Brenda Schmulske and Joe Houska (Amanda); his brother-in-law Alan Holst (Minako); and his nieces and nephews, Sakura, Mickey and Daisuuke. He is also survived by eight great grandchildren.
