She was predeceased by: her parents, Elmer Hanson and Julia Hanson (Erlandson); her husband Morris "Morrie" Hovelsrud; her sister Sanchia Engstrom; her niece Deanne; her nephew Rick; and also, Lawrence and Anne Hovelsrud.
She is survived by: her children, Cheryl (Samuel Hartman), Pam (Doug Sorensen) and David (Emelia Hovelsrud); her grandchildren, Todd Strausbaugh (Deanne), Troy Strausbaugh, Marc Sorensen (Jeni), Paul Sorensen (Yumiko), Daniel Hovelsrud, Maija Hovelsrud, Thelma Jepsen, Astvaldur Gujonsson and Vignir Hovelsrud; her great grandchildren, Nick (Angela), Tom (Rachel), Ben, Kalyn, Gage, Cole, Ella and Tyeki; and her sisters-in-law, Lois Bagley of Crookston, MN and Joan Westlake of Detroit Lakes, MN. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews, extended family, and friends.
