It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Mark Douglas Broden of Fertile, Minnesota, who passed away on November 3, 2021, at the age of 65, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Robert Broden and Myrtle Broden (Bakken); his siblings, George and Mary Broden; his brothers-in-law, Richard Gilbertson, Lynn Lucken, Bruce, Grant, Mark and Barry Ellegaard; and his grandson Nash.
He is survived by: his wife Shelly Ellegaard; his children, Andrew Broden (Andrea) of Fertile, MN, Ashley Hand (Ben) of Fertile, MN, Arick Broden (Lori) of Winger, MN, Alexander Broden of Crookston, MN, Mark Broden II (Rebecca) and Thief; his grandchildren, Autumn, Gage, Gavin, AshLynne, Gradyn, Kallie, Zoë, Hailey, Nevaeh, Riley, Gunnar, Niles and Noah; his siblings, Irving Broden (Phylis) of Beltrami, MN, Sara, Ellie, JoAnn Levang (Paul), Roger Broden of Fertile, MN, Ruth Kiehne (Bob) and Arvid Broden (Crystal) of Fertile, MN; and his parents-in-law, Eric Ellegaard (Joan) of Fertile, MN and Mary Beth Ellegaard of Detroit Lakes, MN. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, cousins and lifelong friends.
