She was predeceased by: her parents, Junior Askelson and Ovedia Askelson (Skeim); her former husband Dave Gerjets; her children, Patty, Jody and Ronnie; her brother Ronald; her parents-in-law, Peder and Agnes Bestul; and her brother-in-law Rodney Bestul.
She is survived by: her fiancé Frank Asp; her daughter Jackie Rux (DelRay) of Holt, MN; her grandchildren, Steven Courneya (Gabby Morlock), Rueben Fritsch, Jessica Horgeshimer (Ben) and Shandelle Sherer (Branden); her great grandchildren, Isaiah, Gabe, Isabel, Courtney, Nevaeh, Tracen, Kaiden, Kinzley and Brooklyn; and her siblings, Curtis Askelson (Bev) of Glyndon, MN and DeVaughn Hanson of Fertile. She is also survived by nieces and nephews.
