We are sad to announce that on March 7, 2024 we had to say goodbye to Barbara Jo Oistad of Fertile, Minnesota, born in Crookston, Minnesota. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.

She was predeceased by: her parents, Benjamin Hamre and Josephine Hamre (Christianson); her husband Rodney Oistad; and her siblings, Rolland, Jerome, Marion, Adelle, Margaret and Delores.

She is survived by: her children, Shelley Rice (Kevin), Kristi Gullickson (Scott), Melissa Faul (Randy), Maria Bruggeman and Timothy Oistad (Sarah); her grandchildren, Nicole, Ryan, Andrea, Kolby, Cal, Tyler, Karisa, Micah, Logan, Reese, Kane and Indigo; her great grandchildren, Ella, Landon, Jonah, Kallie, Kai, Ava, Selah, Jett, Liam, Penelope, Alice, Oliver, Silas, Lucas, Gwen, Miles, Selmer, Freya and James; and her brothers, Phillip Hamre (Janet) and Dean Hamre (Sandy). She is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.

“Babs was a wonderful sister and sister-in-law! She was beautiful on the inside as well as on the outside. She always greeted us with a smile and a how are you even when she wasn't feeling well. She was always concerned about us and others also. We talked about the Lord often and how good He is. She was a great Christian lady. She's in heaven now with no more pain. Babs is singing and rejoicing with Rod. What a reunion Babs and Rod have! They both are greatly missed! Phil and Janet Hamre”
