He was predeceased by: his parents, Carl Monson and Myrtle Monson (Bartz); his sons, Troy and Joseph; his granddaughter Megan Monson; his siblings, Jerold Monson, Clayton Monson and Marlene Monson; and his siblings-in-law, Wallace Leines (Pauline), LeRoy Leines, Lyla Christianson and Marlene Olson.
He is survived by: his wife Priscilla Leines; his children, Tina Holtman (Robert), Tammy Stoe (Robert), Tracy Monson of Winger, MN, Trever Monson (Sarah) and Tanya Ek (Kevin); his sisters, Elaine Larson and Joyce Priewe; and his siblings-in-law, Ordell Leines (Sonia), Angie Svenby, Pat Skatvold and Jackie Leines. He is also survived by 15 grandchildren, nine great-grandchildren.
