Thomas Saurer Obituary
With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Thomas Saurer of Fergus Falls, Minnesota, who passed away on January 1, 2025 at the age of 91. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Anton Saurer and Irene Saurer (Kidder); his daughter Rita; his brothers, John, James, Donald (Joyce) and David (Birdelle); and his siblings-in-law, Deloris Godel and Darrel Tollefson (Audrey).
He is survived by: his caregiver Lyla Saurer of Fergus Falls; his son Rodney Saurer (Linda) of Fergus Falls; his stepgrandchildren, Dillon Strommen and Katie Strommen; his close friend Dean Lundby; and his brothers-in-law, Homer Godel and Marlow Tollefson (Ilene). He is also survived by many nieces, nephews and friends.
Visitation was held on Friday, January 10th 2025 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM and on Saturday, January 11th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Olson Funeral Home (711 Pebble Lake Rd, Fergus Falls, MN 56537). A prayer was held on Friday, January 10th 2025 from 6:30 PM to 7:00 PM at the same location. A funeral service was held on Saturday, January 11th 2025 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the same location.
Memorials are preferred to The Veterans Walk of Flags, Jewett Lake Fish Fund or the Donor's choice.
