She was predeceased by: her parents, Jerome John and Margaret Stans (Scheffler); her husband Gerald Edmond Schanus; her daughter Roxann; her siblings, Kathleen Mills (Fred), Victor Stans (Jeri Jean), Jerome, James, Theresa and Nicholas; and her siblings-in-law, Sandy Stans, Leo Hesse and David Forsman.
She is survived by: her siblings, David Stans, Edward Stans (Lois), Tom Stans, Charles Stans (Rita), Gary Stans, Margaret Hesse, Ruth Stans and Rosie Forsman; her siblings-in-law, Lyn Stans, Diane Stans and Ron Gangl; her grandchildren, Gerald Schanus Jr. and Miranda McCaleb; and her cousin Kathleen Beach (Darcey). She is also survived by six great grandchildren.
