He was predeceased by: his parents, Fred W. Nitz and Rose Nitz (Burman); and his siblings, Barbara Walz (Xavier), Darrell Nitz (Patricia) and William Nitz.
He is survived by: his wife Rona K.; his brother James Nitz (Idella) of Rothsay; and his sisters-in-law, Barbara Nitz of Fergus Falls and Sissie Schlotfeldt of Pierz, MN. He is also survived by many nephews and nieces.
