He was predeceased by: his parents, Raymond Quam and Gyda Quam (Floen); his siblings, Russell and Eileen "Sandy" Akers; and his daughter-in-law Andrea Berube.
He is survived by: his son Jason Berube (Heather); and his brothers, Robert (Aletha) of Faribault and Douglas of Fergus Falls. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
