She was predeceased by: her parents, Ernest Milton Halbakken and Laurina Bertha Korth Halbakken; and her siblings, Esther Rian (Mark), Edith Fosse (Arthur) and Ralph Halbakken (Carol).
She is survived by: her niece Cheryl Hovland (Halbakken); her nephews, Bob Rian and Tom Fosse; her children, Michael O. Haarstad (Linda) of Rothsay and Kathi Grewe (David) of Alexandria; her grandchildren, John Haarstad (Angela), Rebekka Sievert (Derrick), Paul Haarstad (Jill), Brent Grewe (Megan) and Laura Loberg (Eric); and her great grandchildren, Kaden, Hailey, Isaac Haarstad, Jacob, Justin, Kallie Sievert, Grady, Samuel, Edward Haarstad, Dexter, Harper Grewe, Claire and Kate Loberg. She is also survived by many cousins, nieces, and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, memorials are preferred to Knute Nelson Hospice.
