He was predeceased by: his parents, Ferdinand Koefod and Alice Koefod (Slotsve); his brothers, Robert "Bob", Curtis "Cork" and Darrell "Poof" Koefod; and his brother-in-law Mike Knutson.
He is survived by: his wife Marcia; his children, Pamela Jo Ruter (Gary), Collin, Brendan (Matt), Allison Lang (Brandon), Aaron of New London, Randy Koefod (Tammy), Taylor Wing (Miles) and Courtney (Scott Johnson); his grandson Craig Koefod (Carol); his stepchildren, Elizabeth Oslund, Charles, Hazel of Long Lake, Harper and Eliana of Ft. Meyers Fl; and his great grandchildren, Brooklyn, Blake and Brandon Jr..
