He was predeceased by: his wife Ruth Kile; his son Paul; and his parents, Burley and Carrie. He is survived by: his children, Frances Tanner (Will), Linda Head (Michael), Kathryn Stumbo, Bruce Stumbo (Laurel), John Stumbo (Sara), Margaret Sellars (Steven), Elaine Bacon (Jim), Dean Stumbo (Sherri), Gwen Alexander and Joseph Stumbo; and his sister Jean Nieman. He is also survived by 15 grandchildren; 23 great-grandchildren, numerous nieces, nephews, grand-nieces, and grand-nephews.
