She was predeceased by: her parents, Everett Martin and Julia Martin; and her siblings, Zelma Rice (Martin), Edith Scherrer (Martin), Clarence, Randle and Bradley.
She is survived by: her daughters, Joeleetta, Jacinta, Javinya and JaKimba; and her brothers, Stanley Martin, Jay Martin, Charlie Martin and Ronnie Martin. She is also survived by children and grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews.
She was a member of many groups such as the Minnesota Nursing Association, AAUW, DAR, ASPCA, ACLU, Otter Tail County DFL, and routinely donated to the Salvation Army, St. Joseph's Indian School, and Southern Poverty Law Center.
