He was predeceased by: his parents, Martin Haugen and Alma Haugen (Aarness); his brothers, Manley, Jerome and Glanis; his brothers-in-law, Elmer Boese, Selvin Sorum, Orlando Follingstad and Willie Thom; his sisters, Delores Sorum and Darlene Bischoff; and his sisters-in-law, Martha Haugen, Valdine Haugen and Tilda Haugen.
He is survived by: his wife Helen M. Thom of Fergus Falls; his children, Larry (Patty) of Fergus Falls, Leslie (Trisha) of Bull Valley, Illinois and Lisa DuPont (Fred) of Oak Grove, Missouri; his grandchildren, Tyler (Charity), Michael (Amanda), Derek Haugen (Alisha), Jeffrey Haugen (Taylor), Ashley Kahl (Brett), Joseph and Melanie DuPont; his great grandchildren, Cora, Parker, Brayden, Krystanna, Amelia, Elliot Haugen, Luke and Miles Kahl; his sister Janet Follingstad; and his siblings-in-law, Arlene Boese of Sauk Rapids, Verona Thom of Underwood, Henrietta Klinnert (Jerome) of Underwood and Dale Bischoff. He is also survived by the Twin Cities. along with numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and a host of friends.
