He was predeceased by: his parents, Theodore Nygaard and Anna Nygaard; his wife Carol Ann Grendahl; his siblings, Robert, Ramona and Tressie; and also, Andrew and Cora Grendahl.
He is survived by: his children, Grant (LeahAnn) of Pelican Rapids, Connie (Mike) of Fergus Falls, Lance (Janet) of Fergus Falls and Kurt (Kym) of Fergus Falls; his grandchildren, Erik, Kai, Kassidy, Kelsey, Kole, Kendal, Austin Caitlyn and Sarah; his great grandchildren, Leena, Liam Lira, Theo, Olivia, Quinn, Emmitt, Marcus, Holden, Alex and Mia; and his great great grandchild Ricky.
Family would like memorials preferred to the Fergus Falls Veterans Home.
