She was predeceased by: her parents, Fred Mortenson and Sarah Mortenson (Carlsen); her brother Lowell Mortenson; and her husbands, Russell Nelson and Cullen Hansen.
She is survived by: her children, Reverend Ron Nelson (Christine) of Ames, IA and Cheryl Hammers (Pat) of Dent; her sister-in-law Peggy Fosse of Maple Grove; and her grandchildren, Ingrid Cohen (Doug), Matthew Nelson (Jennifer), Lucas Nelson (Beth), Annie Atterberry (Jordan), Stephanie Hammers, Phillip Hammers (Kelly) and Sarah Perkerewicz (Jed). She is also survived by 13 great-grandchildren; numerous nieces and nephews.
