He was predeceased by: his parents, Eddie Biersma and Riem Biersma; and his brother Siep Biersma. He is survived by: his wife Cindy; his daughter Jill Hauge (Alan) of Farmington, Minnesota; his siblings, John Biersma (Connie) of Earlham, Iowa and Betty Liebsack (Jim) of Minburn, Iowa; his sister-in-law Nancy Biersma of Waukee, Iowa; and his grandchildren, Ashton, Brayden and Ally Hauge. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
