He was predeceased by: his parents, Ed Hedlund and Dorothy Hedlund (Ward); his sister Shirley Miller; his parents-in-law, Jim and Sis Klinger; and his brothers-in-law, Ron Miller, Ken Bay, Tom Rooney and Bill Klinger.
He is survived by: his former wife Judith Klinger; his wife Judy; his children, Joy Eldred (Jim), Jean Richardson (Mark), John, Joe (Nancy) and Jim (Tara); and his siblings, Dewayne Hedlund (Helen) of Boyceville, WI, Sherry Bay, Sandy Rooney of St. Paul, MN and Sheila Webber (Paul) of Burlington, WI. He is also survived by 15 grandchildren, 14 great-grandchildren.
