He was predeceased by: his parents, Floyd A. Durey and Cora E. Durey (Rolfe); and his siblings, Charlotte, Margaret, Marian, Carol, Arline, Eloise, Lorna, Joanne, Howard, Lucius, Dale, Forrest, Paul and Darin.
He is survived by: his wife Lenore Durey of Farmington, Minnesota; his children, David Durey (Jeannette) of Lakeville and Phyllis Hardison (Charles) of El Cajon, California; his grandchildren, Loren Durey, Bree Carlson (Ryan), Elaina Hofmann (Zach), Danae Penner (David), Evan Hardison and Jason Hardison; his great grandchildren, Rainer and Talia; and his sister Shirley Thrall of California. He is also survived by many many nieces and nephews.
