He was predeceased by: his parents, Nathaniel Castle and Hazel Castle (Moll); his parents-in-law, Earl Ellerbusch, Gertrude and Vincent Giddings; his wife Carol Jean Ellerbusch; his daughter Julie Ugland (Johnston); his children-in-law, Theresa Castle and Gary Quast; his granddaughter Holly Quast; his great grandchild Lily Dietz; his siblings, Esther Vavra, Harvey Castle, Orville Castle and Don Stadler; and his siblings-in-law, Howard Helgeson, Dennis Vavra, Helen Castle and Donna Stadler.
He is survived by: his children, Steven Castle (Sheila) of Faribault, Todd Castle of Hotchkiss, CO, Tamara Quast of Faribault and Cynthia Larson (Stephen) of Faribault; his sister Marian Helgeson; and his siblings-in-law, Jeffery Ellerbusch (Diane) of Rochester and Shirley Castle. He is also survived by 16 grandchildren; many great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends.
