With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Marlene L. Balken of Faribault, Minnesota, who passed away on March 2, 2025 at the age of 88. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Gilbert Gilbertson and Laura Gilbertson (Gunderson); and her siblings, Willard, Larry Gilbertson and Lorraine Hunter.
She is survived by: her husband Loren Balken; her children, Nancy Spaeth, Scott Balken and Steve Balken (Annette); her grandchildren, Nick Spaeth (Sara), Josh Spaeth (Molly), Ben Spaeth (Angie) and Ashley Balken; and her siblings, Dennis (Patsy), Donald (Liz) and Leigh Gilbertson. She is also survived by 10 great-grandchildren.
