The memory of Lester W. Sommers (Faribault, Minnesota), who passed away on January 3, 2025 at the age of 88, will forever remain in the hearts of those touched by this precious presence in their lives. He was predeceased by: his parents, Glenn Frederick and Alice Anna Nora Sommers (Vail); his siblings, Raymond Sommers (Betty Lou), Everett Sommers (Emma), Dorothy Fischer (Gordon), Della Gunderson (Lester), Delores Strasser (Eugene), Roger Sommers (Delores), Donald Sommers (Sharon) and Betty Lou Hoppe (Larry); and his nephews, Steven Sommers and John Gunderson.
He is survived by: his significant other Marilyn Graff (Charlotte Petersen); his children, Daniel Sommers (Sophia) and Stephanie Hatfield (Craig); and his grandchildren, Emma, Clara, Theodore Hatfield and Tabitha Sommers. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Thursday, January 9th 2025 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM and on Friday, January 10th 2025 from 9:30 AM to 10:30 AM at the Boldt Funeral Home (300 Prairie Ave SW, Faribault, MN 55021). A funeral service was held on Friday, January 10th 2025 at 10:30 AM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers, memorials are preferred.
