He was predeceased by: his parents, John Machtemes and Harriet Machtemes (Meuer); his former wife Kathleen Koerner (Kay); his wife Kay Machtemes; his great grandchild Leighton Kay Lais; and his siblings, John Machtemes, Sister Mary and Margaret Mae Hoben.
He is survived by: his children, Mary Parker (Scott), Anne Hafemeyer (Scott) and Michael Machtemes (Martha Adams); his grandchildren, Brianne Peroutka (Brent), Jon Parker (Megan), Chad Parker, Brandon Parker (Amy), Emily Beard (Chris), Patrick Hayden (Amanda), Meghan Hayden (Colton Motschenbacher), Brogan Hayden, Kristin Lais (Aaron), JD Machtemes (Nikki) and Nathan Machtemes; and his great grandchildren, Logan, Emma, Reese Peroutka, Adah, Weston, Rhett Parker, Drew Parker, Blakely, Maren Lais, Boden Machtemes, Declan Beard and Theodore Hayden. He is also survived by sister, Sister Ann Machtemes, OSB; nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to: Divine Mercy Catholic School, St. John's University, Grace Hospice, or Donor's Choice.
