He was predeceased by: his parents, Erwin Schendel and Esther Schendel (Tolzman); his siblings, Hartley Schendel and Bernice Schendel; and his niece Donna Schendel.
He is survived by: his wife Diane Schultz; his children, Deb Keilen (Gary) of Faribault and Mike Schendel (Jenni) of Faribault; his grandchildren, Matt Keilen (Aaren), Alex Keilen, Zach Schendel, Ian Schendel and Sam Schendel; his stepgreat-grandchildren, Jay, Hannah and Hunter; and his sister-in-law Jeannie Schendel. He is also survived by nephews, other relatives, and friends.
Visitation was held on Thursday, December 12th 2024 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Parker Kohl Funeral Home (1725 Lyndale Ave N, Faribault, MN 55021). A memorial service was held on Thursday, December 12th 2024 from 11:00 AM to 11:45 AM at the same location. A burial was held on Thursday, December 12th 2024 from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM at the Calvary Cemetery (3415 Calvary Dr, Faribault, MN 55021).
