He was predeceased by: his parents, Arley Benson and Olive Benson (Westberg); his sons-in-law, Rick Skalsky and Donald Kump; his siblings-in-law, Richard Niner, Kenny Johnson, Chet Kiles, Shirley Niner and Lucy Benson; his parents-in-law, William Niner and Eleanor Niner; his granddaughter Rosie Hagen; and his siblings, Opal Kiles, Ruby Benson and Robert Benson.
He is survived by: his wife Rachel Niner; his children, Arlie Benson (Amanda), Amanda Martinson (Joe), Kerry Skalsky, Lesley Johnson (Dean) and Cindy Karels (Dwight); his grandchildren, Emma Lukkes (Chayton), Arlie Benson Jr., Ellie Benson, Abby Lake, AJ Lake, Aidan Martinson, Samantha Martinson, Emily Hanson (Lee), Brandon Benson, Tim Hagen (Jessica), Kyle Kump, Danny Kump (Jennifer), Melissa Karels, Angela Karels and Jenna Engstrom (Dennis); and his sisters, Mary Ripka (Art) and Liz Meixner. He is also survived by 15 great grandchildren; 8 great great grandchildren.
