He is survived by: his wife Linda Schmitz of Faribault, MN; his daughters, Angela Schmitz of Maple Grove, MN and Andrea Harris (Tom) of Maple Grove, MN; his grandchildren, Maxwell Roers, Hana Roers, Devin Schmitz and Ashley Harris; and his siblings, Dorothy Schmidtke of Farmington, MN, Rita Feuchtenberger of Plymouth, MN, Art Schmitz (Joyce) of Loveland, CO, Rick Schmitz (Lori) of Valparaiso, IN and Joy Malecha (Al) of Northfield, MN. He is also survived by nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends.
Visitation was held on Sunday, January 5th 2025 from 2:00 PM to 5:00 PM and on Monday, January 6th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM. A Mass was held on Monday, January 6th 2025 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the Divine Mercy Catholic Church (139 Mercy Dr, Faribault, MN 55021).
