He was predeceased by: his parents, Willis Cole and Emma Cole (Johnson); his brother Kenny Cole; and his wives, Carolyn Cole and Mary Jo Cole.

He is survived by: his children, Kevin Cole (Marla), Scott Cole (Mary) and Byron Cole (Rita); his grandchildren, Matthew Cole (Zephanie), Brian Cole, Allen Cole (Lexie), Andy Cole (Delani), Dan Cole (Josie), Amanda Cole and McKenzie Cole; his great grandchildren, Maddi, Hadley, Holdon, Presley, Stevi, Wrenley, Laynna, Karsyn and Bennett; his sisters, Alice Gies (Bill) and Beverly Ceaglske; his close friend Marcia Milbrandt; and his brothers-in-law, Arlyn Jensen, Wendell Owens, Donnie Hansen and Rick Olive (Sue).

Visitation was held on Wednesday, November 13th 2024 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM and on Thursday, November 14th 2024 at 10:00 AM at the Lakeview Funeral Home (205 Albion Ave, Fairmont, MN 56031). A funeral service was held on Thursday, November 14th 2024 at 11:00 AM at the East Chain Lutheran Church (411 280th Ave, Blue Earth, MN 56013).

The family requests memorials be made in Bill's name to Friends of Cedar Point and East Chain Lutheran Church.
