Virginia A. Maday Obituary

We are sad to announce that on November 20, 2021, at the age of 99, Virginia A. Maday of Fairmont, Minnesota, born in Chicago, Illinois passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was predeceased by: her parents, Frank Lucas and Hattie Lucas (Kernia); her husband Raymond Maday; her parents-in-law, Valentine and Julia Maday; her daughter-in-law Nancy Maday; her brothers, Ted Lucas (Gertrude) and Sylvester Lucas (Laurel); and her siblings-in-law, Norbert Maday (Alma), Ludwig Maday (Marion), Philip Maday (Connie), Amelia Maday, Susie Hassing (Edward) and Johanna Konradi (Raymond).

She is survived by: her children, Larry Maday (Donna) of Fairmont, MN, Ronald Maday of Bettendorf, IA and Elaine Olson (Terry) of Ft. Meyers, FL; her grandchildren, Dan Maday, Sara Johnston (Matt), Miranda Maday (Bryan English), Melissa Gevaert (Korianne), Tammy Anderson (Chad), Sherri Johnson (Jeff), Matt Olson and Bryce Olson; and her niece Alice Zielinski. She is also survived by many other nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.

The family asks that people follow the CDC recommendations of wearing masks in buildings for both the visitation and the service and be mindful of social distancing.

The family requests memorials be given in Virginia's name to the St. John Vianney School Endowment Fund.
