It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Ruth Peterson of Fairmont, Minnesota, who passed away on November 12, 2020, at the age of 96, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Leonard Niss and Ella Niss (Finke); her husband Maurice A. Peterson; her daughter Pat Fisher; her siblings, Truma Milford, Belvedere Schmidt, Loren Niss and Jerry Niss; her parents-in-law, Henry and Mayme Peterson; and her siblings-in-law, Fillmore Peterson, Robert Peterson, Richard Childs, Glenn Milford, Corwin Schmidt, Walter Jensen, Melvin Schmidt, Jake Fretty, Arloine Peterson, June Jensen and Geraldine Niss.

She is survived by: her children, Curtis, Terry Peterson (Sonja) of Lakeville, MN and Curt Peterson (Alice) of Blue Earth, MN; her son-in-law Dr. Mike Fisher of Windom, MN; her grandchildren, Paige Huse (Bryan) of Dexter, MN, Jeremy Peterson (Katelin) of Anoka, MN, Michelle Grotte of Fairmont, MN, Dr. Ryan Peterson of Los Angeles, CA and Dr. Michael Fisher of Windom, MN; her great grandchildren, Katie Moon, Leah Moon, Kendall Mclaughlin (Ryan), Jenna Peterson, Luella Peterson, Bryan Grotte and Colby Grotte; her great great grandchild Wesley Mclaughlin; her siblings, Arla Mae Childs of Austin, MN, Sherry Schmidt of Ceylon, MN, Karen Niss of Canon City, CO and Lenny Niss of Tabor, SD; and her sisters-in-law, Ardys Bloom of Fairmont, MN, Beverly Fretty of Fairmont, MN and Judy Niss of Fairmont, MN. She is also survived by many nieces, nephews and other extended family.

Masks and social distancing will be required, and the number of attendees will be monitored.
