He was predeceased by: his parents, Glen Swanson and Helen Swanson (Krumholz); his wife Marsha Swanson; and his brother-in-law Tom Taplin. He is survived by: his former wives, Gloria Ward and Deborah Survis; his wife Deb Swanson; his children, David Swanson, Lori Nebel (Jim), Lisa Swanson, Mary Jablonic (Mike), Thad Swanson (Misty), Shonna Fenrich (Lester) and Corey Survis (Lesley); his grandchildren, Alicia, Zoe, Mitchell, Mason, Levi, Avah, Ella, Lauren and Henry; and his siblings, Denny Swanson and Jeanie Taplin. He is also survived by nieces, nephews and other extended family.
In lieu of flowers, memorials are preferred to St. Paul Lutheran Church in Fairmont or the donor's choice.
