She was predeceased by: her parents, Everett Pennington and Bessie Pennington (Kruse); her husband Leonard Wendt; her daughter-in-law Lynda Wendt; and her grandson-in-law David Massie.

She is survived by: her children, Clayton Wendt of Lino Lakes, MN, Lauralee Silker, Jennifer Oberdieck (Brent) of Fairmont, MN and Christopher Wendt (Nina) of Rochester, MN; her grandchildren, Sheri Nelsen (Randy), Wendy Edlund (Dana), Shawn Edlund (Sandy), Heather Massie, Jakob Silker (Erin), Cody Wilhite (Mollie), Logan Silker (Nicole), Zakery Silker (Olya), Evan Oberdieck (Ashlee), Katherine Wendt (Jacob), Maria Wendt and Anna Wendt; and her brother LeRoy Pennington (Joyce). She is also survived by 12 great-grandchildren; 1 great-great grandchild, several nieces, nephews and other extended family.

Memorials are preferred to Friends of the Martin County Library in Fairmont or the donor's choice.
