Lawrence S. Siegler Obituary

With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Lawrence S. Siegler of Fairmont, Minnesota, born in Richmond, Minnesota, who passed away on October 18, 2021 at the age of 87. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his parents, Michael Siegler and Dorothy Siegler (Schleppenbach); his parents-in-law, Marion and Christine Knuesel (Gottwalt); and his sisters, Donna Siegler, Dorothy Putz and Mary Plombon.

He is survived by: his wife Elizabeth "Betty" Knuesel of Fairmont, MN; his children, Sandy Andersen (David) of Carterville, IL, Tim Siegler of Fairmont, MN, Patty Petrowiak (Mike) of Fairmont, MN, Terry Siegler (Kayla) of Spirit Lake, IA, Barb Stevensen (Al) of Owatonna, MN, Mary Betts (Paul) of Fairmont, MN and Larry "Scoop" Siegler (Adonica) of Truman, MN; his grandchildren, Lt. Tyler Andersen, Luke Andersen, Kristina Severson (Ike), Sarah Walters (Rick), Jena Kauffmann (Randy), Wes Callahan, Chris Callahan, Adam Petrowiak, Jacob Petrowiak, Lindsay Rick, Logan Rick (Sharon), Landon Rick (Ellen), Terence Siegler Jr., Megan Stevensen, Ross Stevensen, Laura Stevensen, Andrea Patrick (Logan), Kenzie Haugo (Ted), Dan Betts, Maggi Breitbarth (Jordan) and Halle Siegler; his siblings, Rita Revening (Gary) of Sartell, MN, Betty Fischer of Champlin, MN and Michael Siegler of Montana; and his sisters-in-law, Carol Klee of Arizona, Connie Mayhew (Bob) of Texas, Sue Wensel of Sartell, MN and Jean Yager (Terry) of Sauk Rapids, MN. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.

He was very active with the Fairmont City Council for twenty-five years, FI TV with fiber optics, Planning Commission, Economic Development Board, Safety Commission, Lakes Foundation, City Center Task Force, and Downtown Revitalization Task Force.
