He was predeceased by: his parents, Aaron Rippel and Ingher Rippel (Hansen); his wife Verona Rippel; his son Jeffrey Rippel; his son-in-law Donald Lorenzen; and his sisters, Violet Satter (Salvin) and Merva Landin (Roy).

He is survived by: his daughter Jacquelyn; his grandson Charlie; his children, Jackie Lorenzen and Joel Rippel; his grandchildren, Jennifer and Emmalie; his great grandchildren, Preston and Sophie; and his sister Mavis Persson. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews and other extended family.
