James M. Forshee Obituary

With profound sadness, we say goodbye to James M. Forshee of Fairmont, Minnesota, whose vibrant spirit touched the lives of many. James left this world on December 25, 2024 at the age of 70, leaving a void in the lives of so many people. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.

He was predeceased by: his mother Ellen Forshee (Swenson); his grandparents, John, Ida Forshee and Viola Swenson; his parents-in-law, Charles and Kathryn Thompson; his sisters-in-law, Mary Thompson and Dawn Forshee; and his nephew Zach Thompson.

He is survived by: his father Donald Forshee; his wife Laurie Forshee of Fairmont, MN; his sons, Michael Forshee (Lizzie) of Eagan, MN and Matthew Forshee of Cottage Grove, MN; his grandchildren, Addison, Avery, Ryan, Hadley, Charolette and Finley; his siblings, Steve Forshee (Pat), Mary McMahon (Michael), Phil Forshee and Barb Morris (Michael); and his siblings-in-law, Scott Thompson (Peggy), Russ Thompson (Mindy), John Thompson (Charlene), Mike Thompson and Jamie Thompson (Marlyce). He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, extended family.

Visitation was held on Friday, January 3rd 2025 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM and on Saturday, January 4th 2025 at 10:00 AM at the Lakeview Funeral Home (205 Albion Ave, Fairmont, MN 56031). A funeral service was held on Saturday, January 4th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the United Methodist Church (119 E 2nd St, Fairmont, MN 56031).

The family requests memorials be made in Jim's name to the Lutz Cancer Center in Fairmont, MN.
