He was predeceased by: his parents, Elmer Johnson and Mary Johnson (Smith); his wife Yvonne Johnson; his brothers, Verlyn Johnson and Ronald Johnson; and his siblings-in-law, Dayle Erickson, Vincent Knoll and Ruth Erickson.

He is survived by: his former wife Yvonne Erickson; his children, Gregory, Douglas, Kristin, Greg Johnson (Michele) of Ormsby, MN, Doug Johnson of Blue Earth, MN, Kris Johnson (Stan) of Iowa Falls, IA and Brett Johnson of Rochester, MN; his sister Gladys Kok (Bob) of Cambridge, MN; and his siblings-in-law, Bonnie Johnson of Hastings, MN, Linda Johnson of Hastings, MN, Marjorie Erickson of Minneapolis, MN and Curtis Erickson (Caroline) of Brooklyn Center, MN. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.

In lieu of flowers, memorials are preferred to KJLY Radio or to Martin County Youth for Christ.
