He was predeceased by: his parents, Clifford Rasmussen and Anna Rasmussen; his parents-in-law, Walt Benck and Evelyn Benck; and his brothers-in-law, Larry Benck and Wayne Benck.

He is survived by: his wife Sharon Rasmussen; his children, Lynette Jessen (Kip), Kevin Rasmussen (Mitsy) and Diane Young (Rodney); his grandchildren, Dustin Rasmussen (Melissa), Levi Jessen (Angela), Chantelle Olson (William) and Ciara Beitlich (Brandon); his great grandchildren, Landon Jessen, Caiden Jessen, Logan Jessen, Lawrence Rasmussen and Corynn Beitlich; and his sisters-in-law, Janice Tietje (Eldon) and Verlene Benck.
