Cornelius J. DeVries Obituary

It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Cornelius J. DeVries of Fairmont, Minnesota, born in Pipestone, Minnesota, who passed away on May 22, 2023, at the age of 81, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Cornelius DeVries and Anna DeVries (VanHouten); his wife Sonija DeVries; his parents-in-law, Arnie and Evelyn Christensen; his sisters, Carol Van Dam and Betty Toering; and his brothers-in-law, Edward Van Dam, Bert Brouwer and Louie Toering.

He is survived by: his daughters, Chris Krumholz (Bill), Tonja Smick (Tim), Andrea McCarron (Michael) and Leah Ensrud (Joshua); his grandchildren, Willis Krumholz (Alyssa), Kellie Witzke (Beckett), Katie Poppen (Chad), Anna Voyles (Alex), Steven Krumholz, Theo Krumholz (Sara), Sarah Krumholz, Calvin Smick, Spencer Smick, Stuart Smick (Morgan Zebedee), Hayley Hillstrom (Hunter), Tanner McCarron (Tera), Evelyn Kue (Timothy), Christian Jorgenson, Alexandra Ensrud, Blair Ensrud and Fallon Ensrud; his great grandchildren, Josephine Krumholz, Wolfgang, Wellesley Witzke, Leo Poppen, AlmaLeigh, Arnie, Arlo, Adalyne, Agnes Voyles, Sierra Smick, Philip, Tobias and Cornelia Kue; his sister Bernice Brouwer; and his sisters-in-law, Lucille Doss and Karen Christensen. He is also survived by many other extended family, friends, and foster children.

The family requests memorials be made in Neil's name to the Gideons and Options Pregnancy Center of Fairmont.
