She was predeceased by: her parents, Dale L. Mansfield and Helen E. Mansfield (Blakenfeld); her daughter Roxanne Joy Schmidt; her parents-in-law, William and Emma Schmidt; her siblings, Jean Ireland (Jim Mansfield), Keith Mansfield (Harry Mansfield), Virginia Gagnon (Linda Flewelling) and Gail Reinert (Judy Gross); and her brothers-in-law, Norman Schmidt (Darrell Schmidt) and Kenneth Schmidt (Gayland Schmidt).

She is survived by: her husband Darwin "Butch" Schmidt; her children, Tonia Toomer (Bob), Robert Schmidt (Sandy), Todd Schmidt (Kristen) and Jodie Schmidt; her grandchildren, Chris Toomer (Jenn), Beth Toomer (Abby Goodenow), Jeff Toomer (Brandy), Megan Schmidt, Michaela Parkison (Blake), Michael Schmidt (Emma), Matthew Schmidt and Emma Schmidt; her great grandchildren, Carson Toomer (Andrea Westcott), Hadan Toomer (Allison Janssen), Mckenzie Toomer, LeeRoy Toomer, Haylee Toomer, Brooks Schmidt, Ozzy Schmidt, Clara Schmidt, Jayden Schmidt, Landen Seeley and Alli Seeley; her siblings, Audrey Neiffer and Richard Mansfield (Linda); and her sisters-in-law, Fayola Mansfield and Anita Mansfield. She is also survived by many nieces, nephews, extended family.

Visitation will be held on Sunday, March 2nd 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Lakeview Funeral Home (205 Albion Ave, Fairmont, MN 56031). A funeral service will be held on Sunday, March 2nd 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorials be made in Betty's name to go towards art supplies for elementary students.
