He is survived by: his former wife Mary Hoffman; his wife Gertrude Thiel; his children, Donald of Park Rapids, Susan Ann and Patrick (Lisa) of Nisswa; his granddaughter Mary (Mark) of Round Rock, TX; his great grandchildren, Colin and Gavin; his stepdaughter Susan Kay Dolezal (Tony) of Redwood Falls; and his stepgranddaughters, Caitlin of Fargo, ND and Haley Sue of Redwood Falls.
