He was predeceased by: his parents, Max Schroeder and Hulda Schroeder (Dallmann); his brother Elmer (Viola Schroeder); his former wife LaVerna Schroeder; his sisters, Lorna (Tom Mickelson), Leora (Howard Peterson) and Millie (Jim Clark); and his siblings-in-law, Doris, Fred Hatten, Arlys and Jerome Palmer.
He is survived by: his wife Vivian Schroeder of Fairfax, MN; his daughter Rhonda Buboltz (Gary) of Fairfax, MN; his grandsons, Nathan Buboltz (Tara), Keith Buboltz (Erin) and Adam Buboltz (Catlin Ziesmer); and his great grandchildren, Kennedy, Jackson, Dylan, Levi, Nolan and Collins. He is also survived by Nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
