He was predeceased by: his parents, Ernest Sandgren and Gladys Sandgren (Hable); his wife Judy Sandgren; his daughter Julie Eisenbraun; his son-in-law Pat Eisenbraun; his sister-in-law Karen Sandgren; and his brother Robert Sandgren.
He is survived by: his children, Cindy Thorp (Rick) of Brooklyn Park, MN, Mike Sandgren (Kari) of Franklin, MN and Tim Sandgren (Angela) of Franklin, MN; his stepson Jason Dover (Tiffani) of Rochester, MN; his grandchildren, Becky Eisenbraun, Travis Eisenbraun (Tracy), Rick Thorp, Kevin Thorp (Danielle), Kristine Thorp (Justin Wolff), Luke, Tyler, Dylan Sandgren, Megan, Nathan and Zachary Sandgren; his stepgrandchildren, Courtney Eisenbraun and Creed Dover; his great grandchildren, Lyric Engen, Dirk Thorp, Killian Thorp, Lauralee Thorp, Jep Thorp, Jackson Thorp, Maci Thorp and Madison Eisenbraun; his brothers, Floyd Sandgren (Martha) of Redwood Falls, MN, Doug Sandgren (Darlene) of Hector, MN and Harold Sandgren of Hutchinson, MN; and his sister-in-law Joyce Sandgren of Belle Plaine, MN. He is also survived by Nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
