He was predeceased by: his parents, William Schweiss and Anna Schweiss (Beck); his wife Mary Catherine Hager (Kay); his son-in-law Randy Tiffany; his brother Raymond Schweiss; and his uncle John Beck.

He is survived by: his daughters, Denise Brandel (Jim) and Rita Tiffany of Milan, MN; his grandchildren, Daniel Brandel (Megan), Mary Frances Green (David), Emily Swan (Sheldon), Adam Tiffany, Bethany Brandel (Rafael Pinto Santos) and Mary Hlebain (Kerry); his great grandchildren, Theodore Brandel and William Santos; and his siblings, Mary Moldan (Marlin), Elizabeth Varland (Gilbert) and Edward Schweiss (Linda).
