He is survived by: his wife Joann; his children, Kenneth Burt, Kevin Burt (Diane), Kermit Burt (Christine), Kimberly Alvarez, Kyle Burt (DeAnn), Kristie Burt (Gene) and Keri Jo Gerth (Shelly); his grandchildren, Ashlee, Joshua, Andrew, Benjamin, Brittani, Amber, Timothy, Matthew, Michael, Tyler, Alexandra, Heather, Ricardo, Mariana, Liliana, Kyle, Jr., Chelsey, Cierra, Ellen, Shayah, McKylah, Mileek and Aaron; and his siblings, Marlys Schultz (William), Kay Sorensen (Darald), Pat Patzner (Tony), Linda Duellman (Roger) and Jim Burt (DeAnna). He is also survived by 30 great-grandchildren.
