He was predeceased by: his parents, Pete Pohlen and Doris Pohlen (O'Donnell); his wife Carolyn Pohlen; and his siblings, Alice File and George Pohlen.

He is survived by: his children, Michael Edward Pohlen of Minnetonka, MN, Katherine Anne Pohlen of Minneapolis, MN and John Matthew Pohlen of St. Paul, MN; and his grandchildren, Danielle Pohlen, Samantha Pohlen, Cameron Pohlen, Lilah Pohlen and Many. He is also survived by Many other relatives and friends.
