He was predeceased by: his son Richard Cullen; his parents, Joseph Cullen and Lorraine Cullen; his brother Robert; and his sister-in-law JoAnn Cullen.

He is survived by: his wife Barbara Solum; his daughters, Carla Jefferson (Ray) and Kris Riley (David); his stepchildren, Dean Solum and Shelly Bullock; his grandchildren, Alicia, Richard, Kristina, Tirone, Katie, Kelly, Jack and Morgan; his great grandchild Preston; and his great great grandchild Aaliyah.
