He was predeceased by: his parents, Emil Hill and Elsie Hill (Wilmanen); and his sisters, Kay and Jean. He is survived by: his nephew Jon Salo; and his siblings, Ronnie Hill of Grand Rapids and Viola Salo (Don) of New York Mills, MN. He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
