He was predeceased by: his parents, Frank Mayasich and Mary Mayasich (Palkovich); and his wife MaryAnn Intihar. He is survived by: his children, Susan Graff of Eveleth, James Jr. "Butch" Mayasich (Dawn) of Eagan, Bob Mayasich (Carol) of Sioux Falls, S. D. and Cathy Barfknecht (Bob) of Eveleth; his grandchildren, Christopher, Chad (Stephanie), Jacqueline (John), Sam and Olivia; his great grandchildren, Emma, Ellie and Tillie; and his brothers, John Mayasich of Eveleth, Ed Mayasich (Jenny) of Lake Vermilion and Joe Mayasich (Lorraine) of Shoreview. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
