She was predeceased by: her parents, Eino Terrio and Mayme Terrio (Antilla); her spouse Douglas E. Hilmas; her sister Arlene Bailey; and her grandson Travis.
She is survived by: her children, Bob Hilmas (Barb) of Virginia, MN, JoAnn Hilmas (Launny Bollinger) of Quitman, TX, Marge Hanna (Rich) of Montrose, CO and Mary Lynn Busciglio of Rochester, MN; her grandchildren, Elizabeth, Rachel (Billy), Emily (Bill), Naomi, David (Tetyana), Robert (Elizabeth), Bryan and Megan; her great grandchildren, William, Lucena, Evelyn, Ayden, Angelina, Emerald, Alex, Sophia, Evan, Jasmine, McKenzie and Maevelyn; her sister JoAnn Pernu (Charles) of Torrance, CA; and her close friend Bev Wiermaa of Ely, MN.. She is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.
Evelyn's family wishes to thank the staff at New Journey Residence in Eveleth and at Fairview Hospice in Hibbing for their compassion, loving care, support, and education during our mother's journey with Alzheimer's Disease.
