With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Eugene Arlin Malenius (Eveleth, Minnesota), who passed away on May 1, 2022 at the age of 98. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Alex Malenius and Signe Malenius (Mahla); his wife Eva "Stina" Maki; his son Donald; his children-in-law, Susan "Suzi" Malenius and Mike Van Skike; his brothers, Victor, Toivo Malenius and Edwin; and his brother-in-law Ben Niemi.
He is survived by: his children, David Malenius of Cloquet, Dean Malenius (Barb) of Eveleth, Daniel Malenius (Lori) of St. Louis Park and Diane Van Skike of Bloomington; his daughter-in-law Sue Malenius of Biwabik; and his sister Joyce Niemi of Virginia. He is also survived by grandchildren, great-grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.
